This humidifier has worked well for me so far. I can definitely feel the humidity in the room when I use it and it hasn’t leaked on me once yet. I’d say be careful about how you place the top on after filling it. If it’s not properly aligned that might cause leaking while it’s running. It’s the only humidifier that I’ve had so I don’t really have anything to compare it to but for the past month it’s gotten the job done and I’m sleeping much better.

The only thing that is not 100% about this item is that the water tank does not lock onto the base. I move mine from my trailer to the office during the season, and have to empty the base and transport the pieces separately. Otherwise, it is perfect. My trailer at work is quite small, and space is at a premium. This fits, no problem. I have even been complimented on the styling! The tank holds enough water to last all night, is easy to use, and creates no mess to fill. Love it! Neither my asthmatic cat nor I have any dry air-related breathing problems now.

Pros:
- Very quiet. I imagine if you set it next to the bed you could hear it, but we set it across the room and the only thing I hear is the occasional bubbling as it takes in more water.
- Easily adjustable. The knob on the front that controls flow is infinitely adjustable, so you can get just the flow you want.
- Easy to fill. Just take off the reservoir and fill from the sink.
- Puts out enough moisture to humidify a fairly large room. Our bedroom is 16 by 20 feet, plus a master bath, and it makes a big difference in the humidity of the rooms.

Cons:
- It doesn’t seem to automatically turn off when it runs out of water like the description says. Maybe ours is broken and maybe not, but it doesn’t turn off. No big deal except the wasted energy (which can’t be much) but I wish it did shut down.
- I wish the reservoir was bigger. The size it is makes it easy to take and fill, but you pretty much have to fill it every single day. It’s a trade-off, but I would have preferred something twice the size that was a bit more difficult to fill due to size.

Cons:
1 The high settings will SOAK your dresser, night stand or any surface you place it on. It’s not a realistic setting. Being that this is in my THREE year old’s room…I have to check the setting after she falls asleep to make sure she didn’t turn it up.
2 Since we use it every night, there is always water in it. Like most other humidifiers, this leads to nasty mold-ish film which has to be clean constantly.
3 If you bought the filter that you can “just screw in instead of the top”, you’ll dread filling the thing. The filters don’t screw in easily.
